Michigan Aerospace Corporation Announces DOE Wind Energy Grant

Michigan Aerospace Corporation, in collaboration with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) National Wind Technology Center, has been awarded a Department of Energy (DOE) grant for approximately $748K to apply the company’s advanced, laser-based atmospheric measurement technology to wind turbine control.

Michigan Aerospace Corporation Awarded NIST Grant for Atmospheric Measurement Sensor

Michigan Aerospace Corporation today announced that it was awarded a $1.5 million grant under the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Measurement Science and Engineering Research Grants Program, funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Michigan Aerospace will develop and deploy a multi-wavelength Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) system that will measure properties of aerosols critical for understanding climate change, atmospheric chemistry, and air quality.

We have recently increased our manufacturing capability to enable larger scale production and invite you to visit our facilities in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
